I am spending a day helping the SCIP stand at the #Getinvolved day in Hove Townhall. The whole reason for this day is to show local people how they can be involved with the council, health and emergency services and in your community.
Taken from the SCIP’s website, heres what is going on;
What’s happening on the launch day?
* information stalls to showcase the range of services, organisations and activities available in the city
* video screenings from the Have Your Say campervan. This will travel around the city in the run up to the event to get your views on the issues affecting Brighton & Hove
* a Question Time chaired by newsreader Nicholas Owen, 3.30pm – 5pm. This will give residents the chance to question a panel of councillors and representatives from the police, health service and community sector. We are also running a Question Time for young people 11.30am–1pm
* the opportunity for young people to speed meet their local councillor, from 2pmGot a question about local decision making?
Have your say at Question Time! We are giving you the opportunity to ask questions of a panel of councillors and representatives from the police and health services on Get Involved Day.
* Submit your question for Question Time
Hove Town Hall is an accessible building and induction loops will be provided. For more information or to discuss access needs please ring 01273 291215 or email democratic.services@brighton-hove.gov.uk
